We have booked a zoom meeting for Friday, April 23rd at 7:00 pm (EST) for our AGM. We invite all current clubs and members to join us for this meeting. I would ask that you send an email to canadiankka@gmail.com to register and I will forward the link to the meeting. This meeting is open to instructors and students of CKKA member clubs.

Hello CKKA Clubs, Instructors, and Students; Our

Hello CKKA Clubs, Instructors, and Students;

Our friends Hanshi Ken Tallack, Tallack Martial Arts, and Sifu Kyle Cochrane are running a special online seminar training event on Saturday February 20th that I am happy to extend an invitation to you all. Please feel free to share this information with any of your fellow instructors or students you might think interested.

As we are missing our annual weekend this year, this is a great opportunity to get some online seminar training with fellow martial artists across all of Canada in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Some of the seminars will be taught by fellow CKKA event instructors you might recognize such as Hanshi Alex Atkinson and Sifu Robin Young, as well as being hosted by Hanshi Tallack and online organization by Kyoshi Mike and Laura Sywyk. There is a wealth of instructors teaching multiple different martial art styles that you are welcome to try.

The event is run through ZOOM Meetings from 1 to 4 PM EST on Saturday February 20th. I have attached the event poster and schedule so you can see some more information and which instructors are teaching at what times.

MEMO RE: CONVENTION CANCELLATION – PLEASE READ
Message to all CKKA Members, Clubs, & Instructors:
Hello All
Wow has this been a year or what! I do hope this memo finds you and your families keeping safe during this pandemic.
After not meeting during the summer months, your board did meet last week. We talked at length what to do about a 2021 convention, we have decided at this time we cannot with the current restrictions, plan an event for next year. We will look at this again in January and see where things stand, maybe a small focused event would work. This is not an easy decision to make, but we don’t know what will happen in the New Year or what restrictions will be in place at that time.
We would like to thank those of you that have left your 2020 registration with us in hopes of an event in 2021 but now is the time to rethink this.
I present to you two options:
- Donate your registration or part of your registration to our organization
- Full refund of your registration minus a $10 administration fee.
Please send an email to canadiankka@gmail.com letting us know what you would like to do, include your mailing address and club affiliation and we will process your request.
